SOUTHWIND IS THE HOUSE BAND AT
MARSHSIDE MAMA'S ON DAUFUSKIE ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA |

| We are four
guys that love to play music on the weekends. With South
Wind it is all about having a good time. We cover everything
from country to rock, from bluegrass to blues. There is
something for everyone and we promise you will have a good
time at our shows. Check out when and where we are playing
and come out to see and hear us. The sound we get comes from
the diverse talent we have in the band. "Velvet" Bob Faust
sings the older country (and some newer ones as well) with
the conviction that only years and years.... and years of
living the music can bring. John Sturm's mandolin work and
soulful blues harp bring very polished nuances to our music.
Bryan and his blue Taylor T-5 will make your hair stand on
end with his lead licks, you'll wonder how the guitar keeps
from bursting into flames. And the solid rhythm guitar and
vocals full of feeling and passion from Sam Smith round out
the sound. Yes, we are a cover band, but don't let that stop
you from coming out to see us and having the South Wind
experience, you will NOT be disappointed. |
